Parade begins downtow Oakville at Lakeshore Road East at Reynolds Street, travels west on Lakeshore to Kerr Street and north to Stewart Street, finishing at Felan Avenue.

Tips and facts

• Hamilton's parade volition continue last year's new route and start time.

• Robinson's section store sponsored Hamilton'southward first Santa Claus parade of sorts in 1919. Santa arrived at the TH&B railway station and proceeded to the store's Toyland.

• Dress in layers from long johns on up. Really, it'south always colder than predictable.

• Pack finger foods, hot chocolate (don't forget mugs), blanket, backyard chair and warm mittens.

• Near parades collect not-perishable food items or loonies and toonies for nutrient banks. Have some on manus.

• Accept your letter to Santa prepare. Letters are nerveless on almost parade routes. Be sure to include your render accost.

• Address your letter to Santa Claus, Due north Pole, H0H 0H0

• Do you know the names of Santa'south reindeer? Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.

• Did you also know that Donner and Blitzen are really Dunder and Blitzen in the 1823 poem past Cloudless C. Moore. Dunder and Blitzen are Germanic words for thunder and lightning.
